Hello Everyone,
Did you have a nice Valentine's Day? It was a bit nippy, wasn't it? I hope you could all do something warm.
NEW PRODUCTS IN THE STORE: We are now carrying bulk wheat germ and wheat bran in our bagged grain section. I have the bran in the store and should have the germ on the shelves by Tuesday. We're glad we can offer this addition to our grain section. We have a new organic produce supplier. We are very happy to say that our prices are still lower than other stores and the quality is superb. Our romaine lettuce and apples are gorgeous. We'll have bananas back on the shelf by Wednesday, as well as yams and hopefully garlic bulbs. Come check out our nice prices and great quality.
ODWALLA SALE: Have you remembered to come in and try the Odwalla smoothie drinks? If you're fighting any kind of bug or needing to get more nutrients in your system, you'll have to try the B Monster and C Monsters. There are several other smoothies on sale as well. They will be marked down to 2 for $5 through Wednesday. Odwalla is going to allow us to hold sale prices on varying products every other week. I'll keep you posted as the items go on sale.
MEAL DEAL: Do you like our buffalo lasagna, chile relleno and lamb shepherd's pie? Well, if you spend $75 in the store, you can pick up a large frozen variety of one of these 3 meals for half off. Yup, 50% off of one of these if you just spend $75. Take advantage while supplies last.
JAM/SCONE CLASS: Would you like to learn how to make jam in just 30 minutes? Your kitchen won't be a mess, you'll have 8-9 jars of fresh jam on your shelf, and your family will sing your praises. It really does only take 30 minutes. I'll show you how. Then we'll make some scones together. You can choose from 4 different varieties. I'll have all the ingredients. While the scones are baking, we'll enjoy a cup of tea together. You'll go home with jam and scones. The fee is $18 and the class is held from 6:30 to 8:30pm. We have a class scheduled for this Thursday Feb. 18th and for Tuesday, Feb. 23rd. Call the store, prepay the fee to hold your space, tell a friend and we'll have fun together.
WEBSITE INFO: I want to encourage you to take a look at our website. It's working great and is a great way to plan your grocery shopping. When you go to www.tasteoflifestores.com, click on register or log on. If you are newly registering, a temporary password will be sent to you which you can use to log on, then change the password to whatever you'd like. You'll find "catalog" in the right margin and be able to see all the lists available for searching out our products. If you have trouble finding something, use the search engine at the top of the page. You can either pay online or just place your order and pay when you come in to pickup. It helps us if you list in the note field when you intend to come in to pickup. Then we'll make sure we have everything you ordered. The old website is only used for our special orders and Falcon co-op. To get to that website you still go to www.tasteoflifestores.com, don't log on, just click on "link for special orders" in the right margin. Right now you click there to order your Bithell Fruit and Montana grain.
NEW VERITY MEATS PROGRAM: Verity Meats and Taste of Life are excited about a new program that has been developed to ensure our families are getting the high quality meats we deserve and also protect the farmers who have committed their lives to raising only the best product. To give you as brief a scenario as possible let me explain a few things. One of the challenges of raising healthy animals is the commitment it takes on the farmer's part. It takes 8-18 months and then the farmer hopes that the buyer is still willing to purchase the animal after that length of time. Verity has taken that commitment to the level that any farmer that commits to raise the animals their way, Verity commits to purchase that animal whether they are assured of a buyer or not. They know that the small family farms are the backbone of our country and they will do what it takes to support them. They are putting together beef and pork bundles that will assure the equal sales of all cuts of meat. This will help Verity be able to sell the animals in whole and each bundle is made up of very manageable portions with reasonable pricing. The bundle will only be 30 lbs. and a nice variety of cuts. Even a family of 2 will most likely be able to consume the bundle within 3 months. We are taking Priority Deposits to put your name on the top of the list for receiving the bundles. This can be paid in one payment or over 3 months. As soon as Verity gets the Priority Deposit, the farmer begins raising the animal. Good news! Right now Verity has numerous beef bundles available as well as pork bundles. In fact, the first 32 people who order a pork bundle receive an additional bonus of few shipping for their first shipment. Please go to www.tasteoflifestores.com to see what the bundles consist of and for more information. Verity has a large advertisement and article coming out in The Image magazine that should be coming to your home starting tomorrow. Please read it to be able to hear their heart and commitment to our society. Also, be aware that more and more people will be hearing about Verity and ordering bundles. Don't delay if you'd like to be able to take advantage of the free shipping. So, the first 32 people ordering the pork bundle receive free shipping; and the first 50 people who order a beef bundle will receive a perk to be determined. Please email any questions and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
BITHELL FRUIT AND FISH ORDER: The deadline is approaching. Have you ordered yet? This order will come in the March/April area and then won't come again until August. The blueberries are a great low price, the dark sweet cherries are an awesome snack, the blackberries and raspberries have superb flavor and of course the fruit purees are a wonderful seedless way to make jam. Go to www.tasteoflifestores.com, click on "Link to Bithell fruit" in the right margin and place your order. If you need help, call the store and we'll place the order for you. As with all special orders, we need to have prepayment in cash or check only. Deadline to order is Feb. 23rd.
Well, I think I've written enough. Did you get tired of reading? Oh bummer, I didn't even tell you about the dog and cat food that's coming. I'll save that for next week. Let's just say your animal friends will love you and you'll love the savings! See you all soon.
