TASTEE NOTE: bread demo, Jan. deals & co-ops

Happy New Year to all!
I hope you all had wonderful and safe holidays. Presents are great but being with family and friends is even better. Now on to the new year and we're believing for blessings to be abundant in 2010.

BREADMAKING CLASS: I've got a breadmaking class scheduled for Thursday night, January 14th. It will start at 6:30 and be done by 8:30pm. We hold the class at our commercial kitchen in Monument. We'll grind grain into flour, make bread, pizza, cheesesticks and you'll make your own cinnamon rolls and more. The fee is only $10 per person. The maximum that works well in the class is 12 people so don't delay in sending me your RSVP. You can call the store or email a reply to this note.

FALCON CO-OP: This Thursday, January 7th is the delivery date for our Falcon co-op. If you haven't placed your order yet, go online to www.tasteoflifestores.com, click on "Link for special orders" in the right margin and log in from there. We'll cut off the ordering by Tuesday night. Adam will deliver your groceries to the Walmart parking lot between 4 and 5pm on Thursday the 7th. You can order anything we sell at our store. Let me know if I've forgotten to put something on the list that you'd like to purchase. Remember to spread the word about our co-op so we continue delivering to our friends out there.

CASTLE ROCK CO-OP? We would love to bring back our Castle Rock co-op if the interest is there. If you'll email me if you're interested, we'll see if we can bring the convenience of our grocery delivery service to you again.

SNAP FOOD STAMPS: Just one more reminder that our little store is now accepting the EBT cards for the SNAP program. We are extremely thrilled to be able to help all families eat healthy.

NEW LINK ON THE WEBSITE: Ron and I watched a film over the weekend called Food, Inc. So many of you told us we had to see this film as it explains how our food is grown and processed. It is a scarey thing to see why e coli is so prevalent and the quality of our food is
marginal. It really does feel good to know that the meats in our store
are grown the natural way and the produce is only organic. Ron put the link to their site on our website so you can see some information on that. We recommend seeing Food, Inc which is available on Netflix and Blockbuster or the library as well.

JANUARY CUSTOMER APPRECIATION: Remember to check out the dinner deals each week for the month of January. We have a different meal listed for each week which offers a savings for our families. We know January is usually a leaner month budget-wise so we'd like to help you out. Also, if you order one deal a week, the website will award you a coupon to be used in the month of February. Be sure to register on our website at www.tasteoflifestores.com. This will put you on my new streamlined email list and then please let me know if you start receiving duplicate emails from me so I can get it corrected.

Hey, I think we can get tamales again this Friday. Is anyone interested?

Well, that's about it. We look forward to seeing you this month.
January tends to be a leaner month for us as well so we'll do our best to offer deals, keep our prices low and help out the family budget.
Thanks for shopping with us. We enjoy serving you!
