TASTEE NEWS: turkey deadline, meal deal, Oregon apples, Bithell fruit & one more bread class

I hope you're enjoying your weekend. It's been lovely having such nice weather. We know it won't last forever so enjoy while we can.

OREGON APPLES & PEARS: Well, tomorrow morning the Oregon apples and pears will be delivered to the store. They will be unloading between 8 and 9 am. If you have ordered, we would really appreciate you coming as early as possible. The order is so large that we have to stack them outside the store window. Once the sun comes over the building, I worry about the cases getting too hot. So please come as soon as you can and pickup your order.

BITHELL FRUIT & FISH: This is also happening this week. When it rains it pours! Thursday, Oct. 22 at 8 am the Bithell truck will be in the Kohl's parking lot right across from the store. The truck is usually there only about 30 minutes and then takes off. That means we need to have everyone who ordered to show up on time. As I mentioned before, if Adam and I have to pick up your order and haul it over to the store, we'll have to charge a restocking fee. Please mark your calendars to save us alot of work. We're so excited to be getting our fruit again.
If you missed out on ordering this time, watch for it again in the spring.

MEAL DEAL: Did you come in yet to take advantage of our new meal deal?
It's with some of our most popular dinners! If you purchase $50 worth of groceries, you can choose a large enchilada, buffalo lasagna or chili relleno at 30% off. If you spend $75 you can get 40% off of one of those dinners; and if you spend $100 you can get 50% off of one of those dinners. It's a great time to buy. Don't miss out because supplies are limited.

BREADMAKING DEMO: I have a breadmaking class scheduled for this Thursday night, Oct. 22nd between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. I have 4 spots left in the class. Let me know if you'd like to come. The fee is only $10.
I'll supply everything for milling grain into flour with which we'll make bread, pizza, cheesesticks and you'll get to make your own cinnamon rolls. It's a lot of hands on fun.

SOUPS ON: We've got plenty of white chicken chili in the store again.
And, Joseph will be producing another variety this week too.

NEW BREADS: I baked up something new! We'll have samples of carrot bread and date nut bread in the store tomorrow morning. I'd like your opinion on their flavor. We'd like to have a nice assortment of quick breads for the holidays. Let us know if you'd like to special order any of these for holiday parties.

THANKSGIVING TURKEYS: Did you know you only have 2 days left to order?
Have you looked at the list yet? If not, go to www.tasteoflifestores.com, click in the right margin on "Link for Special Orders". Then log in and see the link in the left margin for Thanksgiving Turkeys. Or you can call or come into the store and we'll
place the order for you. You can give your credit card over the phone
for the $25 deposit that is required to place the order. Even if you're not sure what your plans are for Thanksgiving, these fresh turkeys will last for up to a year in the freezer without losing any integrity. I like having one in the freezer for a special dinner sometime during the year. You can be assured that whichever brand you choose, our turkeys are free from injections and the flavor is wonderful. I've had wonderful comments on both the Diestel and Barbers brand. Don't forget to order!

LOTS OF TAMALES: We'll keep ordering as long as you guys keep snapping these up. Please let us know by Tuesday if you'd like to special order some chicken or pork tamales. Otherwise, they will come into the store by about 3:00 pm on Friday and then it's first come, first serve.

Well, come see us soon. We love seeing you in the store. Thanks for being such wonderful customers and friends.
