How about our 4th of July? I don't know if I've seen a wetter one in the 15 years we've lived here. You've gotta love Colorado!
FALCON CO-OP: We've got some information put together on our new Falcon area co-op we want to offer. Please email me if you haven't let me know that you'd be interested. I'll add you to the list to receive the co-op information.
LOCAL PRODUCE: I just heard from Austin Farms. We'll be getting their lovely produce again. I believe they'll deliver tomorrow evening (Tuesday). As the produce is available, they'll add more and more items. Remember the tomatoes!?! We've never had better! We'll have to wait a little longer yet but they'll be coming! We'll start with snow peas and squash, sweet onions and garlic. I'm thinking of trying their honey too. I haven't had this before but I'm going to get a few bottles in to try it out.
BIG WEEKEND COMING UP: We are going to offer a very special lunch on Saturday, July 11th. We'll be grilling up mini-burgers from Verity Farms, put on our mini-buns with condiments available. We'll have mini-cupcakes, mini caramel bars and last but not least, our new mini creamsicles. This will be fun for the whole family. We'll be offering lunch from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. These are the same wonderful little mini burgers we offered at our Falcon grand opening. So many people asked if we'd carry these, so we'd like to introduce them now. Come and enjoy an inexpensive but amazingly yummy lunch for the whole family.
We'll have tables set up inside and outside and the grill will be busy.
We'll have our new mini-burgers packaged on the shelf also. Oh, our Xing tea supplier will be offering a special that day too. It will be a great day to shop. Come and join the party!
CHICKEN SALE: Believe it or not. We're offering a sale on our boneless skinless chicken breasts! We're going to offer them co-op style. For those that remember our garage co-op beginnings, we decided to offer this popular item in a 10 lb. bag bulk like we used to. *We are going to offer the 10 lb. bag of bulk chicken breasts at $3.48 per lb*. There will be a limit of only one bag per person. If you want to purchase the chicken breasts already packaged in the vacuum bags at one double breast per package, the price will be $3.88 per lb. There will be a limit of only 10 lbs. of this item per person and you won't be able to double-up on these offers. We just wouldn't be able to guess at enough chicken to purchase if we get too crazy with this sale. Pickup for this sale will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only, July 9, 10 and 11th. If you preorder, you can be assured of getting your bag of chicken, so come in on Saturday, have some lunch and get your chicken order! We think it would be a good idea to preorder on the website if you want to be assured of getting this sale item. We would really appreciate prepayment either check, cash or credit card, to help us pay for all the extra chicken we've ordered. If you come into the store earlier this week, you could bring in payment, or just give us a call at the store and we'll take it on credit card. JAM AND SCONE MAKING CLASS, BREAD TOO: I have a class set up for this Thursday, July 9th. The class is full but I can take a few names for a waiting list. However, I still have a couple of spots left in my July
16th class. Please let me know quickly if you're interested. The
following Thursday, July 23rd, I have a breadmaking class scheduled.
Let me know if you want to be added to that class and I'll get your spot reserved. The class times are always 6:30 to 8:30 pm at our kitchen facility in Monument (not at the store). The fee for the jam and scone class is $18.00 which includes all the ingredients necessary for you to enjoy a jar of jam and to make your choice of scones. I'll have everything ready for you. The fee for the breadmaking class is $10.00.
You'll be treated to many goodies and even get to make your own cinnamon rolls. Both classes are a lot of fun. It's fun to do as a couple too!
NEW GLUTEN FREE ITEMS: We have a new gluten free sandwich bread and cinnamon chocolate chip bread available in the Monument store today.
They are very good at a nice price.
TASTEE JOES: Our sloppy joe mix is back on the shelves again. Come in for this quick summer meal. No need to heat up the oven and make your kitchen hot. Just warm up the mix, put on our yummy dinner rolls or hamburger rolls and you're good to go for a quick meal.
CHICKEN BITES AND SPICEY BITES: Yup, these are back too! They sure move fast. It's such a nice quick summer snack or meal. Enjoy them hot or cold, in a salad, on the go, or with pasta or rice. Very easy, very healthy and very yummy!
