Re: TASTEE NEWS: buffalo, honey, co-ops, fish & more

Hi Everyone,

We had fun Saturday! Did you guys like our mini burgers? The turnout was wonderful. We really thank you so much for supporting our little store. Did we get some of you stuck on our creamsicles? Yum! We will have our little mini burgers available in our freezer in 6 packs now.
Yup, we forgot to bring them to the store on Saturday, but they will be there Monday morning. Oh, and we did put everyone's lunch order form into a drawing for a $25 shopping spree. We have a winner! Scott McKeever! Congratulations! You can come in anytime to take advantage of your winnings. Should we offer our little lunch about once a month?
Let me know if you'd participate.

FALCON CO-OP: You guys can still order on the "old site" at www.tasteoflifestores.com if you'd like to take part in our Falcon Co-op. We will deliver this coming Thursday, July 16th, at 12:30 to 1:30pm at the Walmart parking lot for pickup. I think the ordering list is pretty easy to understand. I will contact each of you that orders to confirm and then you just meet the truck on Thursday. We've got plenty of orders that came through so we'll be there for sure. Let me know if you have any questions.

CASTLE ROCK CO-OP: It's ordering week again. Go to the "old site" as usual to place your order. Delivery will be the following week on Wednesday, July 22nd. I've finally remembered to add our natural beverages, salsa and La Favorita chips. Please let me know if there are other things in our store that you'd like me to include in the list.

CLASSES: I've got one more jam and scone making class scheduled for this week Thursday, July 16th from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The fee is $18 and I'll supply all the ingredients needed for the jam, scones, clotted cream and tea. I have a couple of spots left in the class so let me know very quickly if you're interested. Then, I've got a breadmaking class on Thursday, July 23rd, 6:30 to 8:30pm. I've got several spots available in that one. The fee is $10 with hands-on fun playing with bread dough.

NEW ITEMS IN THE STORE: As mentioned above, we'll have mini burgers grilled and packaged for easy rewarming. We also have a new 100% juice Switch beverage. There is no sugar or preservatives and is great for lunches, picnics and the kids love em. Another new item brought in by popular demand is frozen pizza dough, whole wheat, ready to thaw and use. We finally got 'er done.

I've got several new lists on my old website for you to order from.
It's time for us to buy more buffalo so I'm offering the chance to get roasts, ground, patties, brats and stewing meat. Also, I've had numerous people ask about honey. You can order that again too.
And..... tomorrow, I'm calling my fish guy about offering fish again.
It's time for the salmon to be running and we love to get the salmon fresh. I'll get prices tomorrow, post them on the site and then you can order this week. I know this is quite a few items at one time, but we'll make it easy this time around. If you want to order from more than one list, you can prepay with one transaction. It's best for us for you to use cash or check when we do these co-opy type things, but at least you can just do one check for all.

Just as a progress report; things are going well with our little store.
Business is definitely picking up and for that we are extremely grateful. I also want to thank you for being understanding with our co-op style of buying on some products. This has helped us tremendously. I know sometimes it can be a little inconvenient to prepay with cash or check but you are all helping us to keep ahead of the bills and keep our business flowing. You know that little chicken sale we just finished up with? You guys ordered 1400 lbs.! Yup, 1400 lbs. It turned into a little logistic nightmare but we've got all the orders logged and over the next 2 weeks we'll get everyone handled. I appreciate your patience as we get enough chicken in to fill the orders. If anyone needs to purchase packages of chicken as normal, we'll have plenty available on the shelves after 1-2pm tomorrow. We're back to our normal prices, but it's obvious a lot of people like our chicken, well ya....

That's it. I know; that's enough!
We love you all,
Donna
